What is a registered interior designer?

In order to represent to the public the correct definition of "Interior Designer", the practising professionals in the Province of New Brunswick sought to adopt the title of "Registered Interior Designer". The Provincial legislation was enacted in June 1987.

To the public this translates into the assurance that a person legally holding the title "Registered Interior Designer" would be an active member of the Association of Registered Interior Designers of New Brunswick and as such, be duly qualified by education, experience and examination in the professional field of interior design. Such are the prerequisites of becoming an active member of ARIDNB, and being granted license to adopt this title.
